It's the last remaining full-service gas station in the Green Bay metro-area. Gene's Deep Rock on Main Street, which opened in 1974, has new owners that refuse to let go of that tradition.

Gas attendants Bill DeShambo, left, and Shane Cure chat by the register after completing service for a rush of customers at Gene's Deep Rock in Green Bay, Wis., Tuesday, April 13, 2010.

A tire gauge rests in Cure's shirt pocket.

Cure, left, gives a windshield wash while DeShambo fills up the tank for Dolores Peters of New Franken at Gene's. "[Full service is] why I come here," says Peters. "I've got a bad back. It's hard to get in and out of the car. So the young guys are doing me a favor."
