2010 National Scout Jamboree: Departure

I'm hitting the road for a couple weeks, accompanying 200 local Boy Scouts to the 2010 National Scout Jamboree at Fort AP Hill in Virginia. It's a special Jamboree since this one celebrates the 100th anniversary of Scouting. Expected attendance: 40,000-50,000. Once there, I'll be doubling as one of the official event photographers for the Boy Scouts of America. Here's a couple shots from departure and the first "pit stop."

Northeast Wisconsin Boy Scouts from the Bay-Lakes Council load the buses before departing for the 2010 National Scout Jamboree at Fort AP Hill in Bowling Green, Va., from St. John Lutheran Church in De Pere, Wis., Wednesday evening, July 21, 2010. This year's Jamboree celebrates 100 years of Scouting.
