Victorious Green Bay Packers return to Wisconsin

Welcome home, world champion Green Bay Packers! I'm in frigid Green Bay for two days covering the team's homecoming for the Wisconsin State Journal. It's fun being here. Even when you're a team that's won more than a dozen championships in its history, something like this doesn't happen that often.

Many are saying this is the story of the decade for Wisconsin. Exaggeration? Perhaps. Perhaps not.

Bill Gonzales of Green Bay, Wis., yells out a cheer while waiting for the Green Bay Packers to return home to Lambeau Field from their Super Bowl XLV win, in Green Bay, Wis., Monday, Feb. 7, 2011.

A Green Bay Packers fan runs east on Lombardi Avenue with a Lombardi Trophy replica before the team arrived.

Green Bay Packers Donald Driver takes pictures of the thousands of fans who turned out to Lambeau Field and lined streets to offer the team a warm welcome home.

Green Bay Packers' Daryn Colledge yells out to fans as the busses roll in.

Green Bay Packers safety Nick Collins hams it up with the fans after getting off his bus.

Green Bay Packers fans welcome back an injured Charles Woodson. Woodson broke his collarbone during the game.

Green Bay Packers fans sought higher ground on top of a CBS 58 live television truck in the Lambeau Field parking lot.

Green Bay Packers fans reach out to players as they disembark busses and walk into their Lambeau Field locker rooms.

Green Bay Packers players pumped up their fans while leaving Lambeau Field for their vehicles. An official celebration will take place tomorrow at Lambeau Field to celebrate the Packers' win.

I stumbled upon your Blog by accident, but you take some amazing photos. I'm currently taking a Photography class and many of your photos definitely help me understand that "seeing" my teacher is always talking about. Keep it up!
