I'll leave my personal feelings out of it other than to say that I'm surprised Green Bay can sustain a second football team that's not the Green Bay Packers. Apparently fans in the Tundra are so starved for the gridiron during the NFL's off-season that they're willing to watch the game played on a carpeted half-field.
I digress.
AFL games are just as dark as the darkest stadium you've ever shot in (fewer lights on than hockey), the plays are shorter and quicker than the NFL (I think), and your backgrounds are absolutely littered with advertisements.
It's a nightmare.
It's also an occasion that you can try to rise to.
Green Bay Blizzard's (8) Derek Deardorff walks onto the field during team introductions before a game against Chicago Slaughter at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon, Wis., Saturday, June 19, 2010.
Green Bay Blizzard's Scott Burnoski (1) reaches for a first down while getting wrapped up by Chicago Slaughter's Chris Rodgers (38) in the first quarter.
